Sitemap URLs comparison
Quick answer
Paste or fetch two sitemaps, such as before and after a release or a site migration, and the comparison lists the URLs only in the first, only in the second, and in both. Each list can be copied or downloaded, so a page that quietly dropped out of the sitemap does not go unnoticed.

How to read it
Removed URLs are the list to check first: each one should be a page you meant to remove, or a redirect.
Frequently asked questions
Why compare two sitemaps?
To catch pages that disappeared from a sitemap after a release or migration, before search engines drop them, and to confirm new pages were added.
Does it compare the pages themselves?
No, only which URLs each sitemap lists. Trailing slashes and case in the path count as different URLs, as they do for crawlers.
Can I compare staging with production?
Yes, when both sitemaps are public. If staging is behind a login, paste its XML instead.
