Sitemap URL extractor
Quick answer
Enter a sitemap's URL or paste its XML, and the extractor lists every URL in it with its lastmod date, ready to copy or download as a text or CSV file. For a sitemap index it lists the child sitemaps, which you can then extract one by one.
Uses
- Auditing which pages a site tells search engines about.
- Building a list to check redirects or status codes in bulk.
- Comparing two sites' structure before a migration.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get all URLs from a sitemap?
Read every <loc> inside the <url> entries. This tool does that and gives you the list as plain text or CSV.
What about a sitemap index?
An index lists other sitemaps rather than pages. The extractor lists those sitemap URLs; run each through it to get the pages.
Is there a limit?
The tool reads up to 5 MB of XML from a URL, which covers most single sitemaps. Paste larger files in parts.
