Terms
Last updated 1 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Verb when you use it. They are written to be read in a few minutes.
What you get
An account, one or more sites, and an assistant that performs the actions you define and approve. Building and testing on your own computer is free. A live site that your users can reach is on a paid plan, described on the pricing page.
Paying
Plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, and renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which also issues the invoice and handles sales tax or GST. Prices are shown before you pay, and we will tell you at least 30 days before a price you are already paying changes.
Cancelling, refunds, plan changes and failed renewals are covered by the refunds and cancellation policy, which is part of these terms.
You decide what it can do
The assistant can only call tools you have defined and explicitly activated. Nothing becomes callable because we shipped it; a person in your organisation has to promote every tool. Some configurations are refused outright by the safety review, and there is no override.
You are responsible for what you activate. If you grant a tool that deletes records and a user asks for a record to be deleted, it will be deleted. Every write and every deletion is confirmed with the user first, and that gate cannot be switched off.
The service
We work to keep Verb available all the time and tell you ahead of planned work that could interrupt it. A written uptime commitment, with credits if it is missed, comes with an Enterprise contract. We may improve or change how Verb works, and we tell you before a change that affects what you rely on. Use the test environment, which runs on your own computer against your own development setup, until you are satisfied it behaves the way you expect in your product.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Verb to take actions your own users are not entitled to take
- Do not wire it to payments, checkout or card data. It refuses, and so do we
- Do not use it to deceive people about whether they are talking to software
“Powered by Verb”
The assistant shows a small “Powered by Verb” line at the foot of its panel. On Pro, Max and Enterprise you can switch it off in the dashboard. On every other plan it stays: do not remove, hide, cover or change it, with code, styles or anything else. If you show Verb’s answers in an interface of your own instead of ours, the same applies: show “Powered by Verb”, linked to askverb.com, where people can see it beside the answers. If the line has been taken away on your site, we may ask you to restore it, and if it keeps happening we can suspend the site.
Your data and your code
Your tool definitions, your conversations and your audit log are yours. We do not use them to train models, and we do not sell them. Take them with you if you leave.
Ending it
Stop whenever you like; remove the script tag and ask us to delete your account. We can suspend an account that breaks the acceptable-use or attribution rules above, and we will tell you why.
Liability
Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. That is the honest position for a young product, and it is why the test environment exists and why every change is confirmed before it happens.
Verb is early and these pages are written in plain language rather than by a lawyer. If you need something more formal for a procurement process, email vishnu.ps@askverb.com and we will sort it out with you.
